"Birds are around me every day where I live in Grafton, NSW. I enjoy watching them, drawing them, and painting them. In 2018, I was commissioned to make a series of works for a client. I created 40 paintings of the little birds found in the Clarence Valley, capturing their individual character and identity. I continued to paint birds over the years from my studio in the bush. Having recently moved to an industrial shed in Grafton, I have begun using the more controlled environment of the studio to refine my compositions and painting techniques.” -Robert Moore
