Official opening Thursday 13 October 6-8 pm. “Rather than imitating landscapes, I have constructed mental landscapes that have their own rules in terms of structure, space, composition and colour balance. The present is connected to the past. In my case I owe a debt to Monet, Rothko, Diebenkorn and Fred Williams – artists of space, harmony, colour and tranquillity. Floating Horizons is a series of minimal landscapes in which the horizon line varies as the only ongoing motif, enveloped by veils of colour capturing the subtle, ever-changing moments of light during the day.” Jules Sher 2016
