CLAIRE BEAUSEIN – WATERMARK: Markings of Nature

SUBIACO - NOW SHOWING: 14 - 31 AUGUST In this exhibition Beausein has looked to the markings of nature finding an abundance of inspiration for her exquisite pieces. As is often the case with Beausein’s work an environmental theme underpins the show, and although there is a beguiling ambiguity to much of the work there are also reminders of loss and the impact of human endeavour. It’s been a busy year so far for Beausein having been selected as finalist in two National awards. Her piece was selected as finalist in the prestigious ‘Waterhouse Natural Science Art Prize’ currently being held at the South Australian Museum and also the ‘Mandorla Art Award’ where her piece ‘Silent Mountain’ has been chosen to tour.
