An exhibition that focuses on a selection of women artists living in Western Australia who express their affinity for their local surroundings through different mediums, celebrating what they consider to be ‘Strange Beauty’. For those native to Western Australia or born elsewhere it might be their endless curiosity about the presence and resilience of strange flora unique to this State, how bright light floods the West Australian landscape with mood and colour or even a celebration of ornamental plants surrounding them, symbolic of friendship or childhood memories.
Artists included are Samantha Dennison, Joanne Duffy, Barbara George, Ali Sondhi-Kidd, Jenni Doherty, Magda Joubert, Kiara Rechichi-Baker, Sandie Schroder and Jean Sher .
