PLAYFUL PRINTS
Artist:
Annie Davidson, Ken Done AM
Location:
cherubino wines margaret river
Ken Done and Annie Davidson share the stage with Playful Prints at Cherubino Wines Margaret River.
Colour inspires Ken Done every day. And he paints every day. The resulting limited edition prints in this exhibition reflect both this inspiration and his work.
Ken is also very much influenced by the machinations of his life, his immediate surroundings, especially where he lives on Chinaman’s Beach, a small, idyllic stretch of sand and sparkling water on Sydney’s northern coastline. And increasingly, by his lifelong passion for diving on the myriad coral reefs he has visited over the years.
Annie Davidson is a Melbourne-based illustrator whose drawings are naïve, quirky, colourful and filled with meticulous patterns and fine touches of detail.
Her work is inspired by Japanese woodblock prints, kid’s picture books, botanical art, travelling to new places and of course nature - especially forests, tropical landscapes, coral reefs and cactus gardens. Her main illustration style involves hand drawing in pen & colouring digitally or with watercolour.
