13 - 28  JUNE, PERTH CITY Born in Seoul, Korea, Min Woo Bang lives and works now in Sydney and brings a cultural understanding of both difference and belonging to his Australian paintings. His work records his personal experience with landscape and attempts to capture interpretations of passing moments. He has had many solos exhibitions across Australia and has received multiple awards. His most recent work explores ephemeral skyscapes using oils and acrylics to form complex surface textures and create an ageless sense of place. Sky Memoir reflects finely tuned technical skills as well as an in-depth cerebral exploration reminiscent of both Eastern and Western painterly aesthetics. Utilising a delicately balanced palette, the artist poetically renders the surface of his canvas to much critical acclaim.
