20 JUNE - 12 JULY, PERTH CITY 'Out of the Blue is an exhibition of photography on the whole of Australia taken from the air. It is my personal point of view. As Australia is the flattest continent with few roads, I find that the aerial perspective gives us an opportunity to appreciate the diversity of this worn down landscape. In particular I am intrigued by the evolution which has taken place over millions of years which can still be seen today. I find the identity of the landscape is so complex and strong that I choose not to manipulate or enhance my photographs.' Woldendorp is an Honourary Life Member of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography, was made a State Living Treasure in 2004 and in 2005 was named a Lotterywest ‘Inspirational West Australian’. In 2009 the Art Gallery of Western Australia celebrated his work and contribution to art in a major exhibition and in 2012 he was appointed the Order of Australia for service to the arts.
