Writers frequently use cacophony to express energy or mimic a mood.
This is beautifully captured in the writing of Aishabella Sheikh in her description in her book Jungle Princess, “That was New York; a whole cacophony of sounds and tastes that all somehow came together to form something beautiful.”
Artists from all cultures juxtapose bold and vivid colours to charge the surface of an artwork or create excitement. In Cacophony of Colour, chaotic and incongruous combinations from a range of artists mix in ways to create a striking effect.
This exhibition highlights colourful new artworks by ‘Master of Movement’ Ian de Souza, as well as a stunning new painting by Michael Jeffery and three new sculptures straight from Jon Denaro’s studio.
Come and celebrate the clatter, caterwaul and joy of colour. If you stretch your imagination, you may hear the howl of a raucous baboon or feel the blazing heat.
