“The pandemic has changed our world. People have spent time at home with pets, pot plants and house projects trending. I’m guilty of listening to too many news alerts; however, the repeated clichés have conjured up fanciful images in my head and fuelled my imagination.
Ideas for sculptures arrive at the most unexpected times – as I waken in the mornings, when I’m cooking a meal or doing the laundry. My sketch book is often no more than a handy scrap of paper and sketches can be mere short-hand scribbles recording an idea before it vanishes.” Lesley Whitham 2021
