Being immersed in landscape evokes a profound sense of belonging to the land largely through the myriads of natural sounds that fill the environment that I am in. The calls and movements of birds, the rustling of wind passing through trees and grasses, and the subtle hum of nature all contribute to this feeling. My travels throughout the world have inspired my landscape paintings through the beauty and energy of diverse environments. The vivid colours and spiritual connections motivate me to capture these scenes in my own way.
During my many journeys, I have frequently encountered and connected with the stories of Indigenous peoples which highlight the deep spiritual bond that these communities share with the land, birdlife, animals and plants, many of which are regarded as their totems. This meaningful connection has further enriched my appreciation for the land and its inhabitants, influencing the way I perceive and depict nature in my paintings. This collective experience forms the foundation of the works displayed, reflecting the deep resonance and inspiration drawn from nature’s voice.
