7 MARCH - 30 SEPTEMBER, MARGARET RIVER. Cherubino Wines in Margaret River has re-opened after some weeks of temporary lockdown. Once again we invite you to enjoy the beautiful exhibition of paintings by selected Australian Indigenous artists.
Indigenous Australian art is an extraordinary testament to the depth, honesty and emotion of one of the world’s most ancient cultures. The ostensibly abstract art is in fact not so abstract as it hides a deep connection to everyday life, being narrative and emotional as well as visual and intellectual. The exhibition features established and emerging Indigenous artists including Barney Ellaga, Kudditji Kngwarreye, Judy Watson Napangardi, George Ward Tjungurrayi, Rose McCarthy Morgan and many others.
A selection of bronze sculptures now on show by renowned sculptor, Stephen Glassborow. For Stephen, bronze is the ultimate material. Its life surpasses any other medium; a creative thought today, cast into bronze, could still be here a thousand years from now. sculptures possess a power of delusion as they delight in their interpretations of the world around us.
