"I dreamt of works of balance, of calm and peace without troubling or sad subject matter, a balm for my mind, like a comfy chair. A place to hide from fatigue. This crazy time has allowed me to hide in the hills and loose myself in the studio. I looked around me and found a garden and home full of things to paint. Time for me to pay attention and use the things I know and love. I love surfaces and pattern, I love the excitement of building the layers, concealing and leaving small wonders exposed.
The surprise when one element crashes into another and reveals something new.
I took a journey back to my beginnings and rediscovered BLUE. I call it eating blue (delicious). It is a place of solace and great joy to me. My hope is that it nourishes you too!
