This body of work is a natural transition from Darby’s previous Sydney and New York paintings. In those works, the viewer was presented with busy urban landscapes, diffused and simplified when viewed through condensation on windows. Now the water is on the outside of the window, and it’s moving and distorting the lights and city of Perth.
