PERTH CITY - NOW SHOWING Arcadia has a long and evolving history in art, antiquity, literature and geography. Associated with bountiful natural splendour and harmony, its inhabitants are virtuous and said to live without pride and avarice. After 9/11, Donald James Waters vowed never again to paint negative imagery. Realising that these sentiments were aligned with the values and ideals of the Arcadian notion, he determined to explore the concept further. Arcadia, his latest exhibition, is testament to this promise. Through this body of work, Waters is eager to impart a more hopeful view of our future.
