"The name ‘Inner Worlds' arrived through a conversation with a friend in which she described a persons 'inner world' as a complex, delicate and intricate place that harbours and cradles our innermost thoughts and the magic that makes us all unique.
As a cartographer measures and maps the undulations of the land, I have tried to capture tiny glimpses of the world I observe whilst utilising printmaking, collage and woodcarving as my tools of documentation.
For me, this exploration is a journey to a destination of light and shade, fluidity and unknown depths. A secret place, hidden behind high walls, littered with symbols, graced with characters and all bound and balanced by hopes and prayers." Kiara Rechichi-Baker, November 2012
