COMING SOON - 12 FEBRUARY - 1 MARCH; PERTH CITY OFFICIAL RECEPTION SUNDAY 22 FEBRUARY 2-4 PM Margaret Loy Pula hails from an incredibly distinguished artistic family. She is the daughter of well-known artist Kathleen Petyarre and the mother of Abie Loy Kemarre. Both Abie and Margaret were taught to paint by Kathleen.  In 2011 Margaret was the first female artist to win the Sunshine Coast Art Prize and the Paddington Art Prize. In 2012 Margaret was a finalist in the prestigious Wynne Prize and in 2014 she won the Redland Art Award selected from 250 entries and 49 finalists. Margaret paints her father's dreaming and the stories that she depicts include country, bush food and ceremonial designs. Her story, "Anatye" or Bush Potato dreaming, is portrayed using a series of fine, detailed dots.
