In conjunction with Naidoc Week and in celebration of the Naidoc theme for 2020 of ‘Always Was, Always Will Be’, Linton & Kay present paintings concerned with landscape by selected Indigenous artists. This year our exhibition is titled ‘Stories Of Country’, with a carefully curated selection of paintings by artists from across Australia that reference ancient sites and stories of country. Artists include Willy Tjungurrayi, Barney Ellaga, Kudditji Kngwarreye, Mitjili Napurrula, Nellie Marks Nakamarra, Alice Nampitjinpa, Dorothy Napangardi, Tatali Naparrula, Maggie Yilpi, Lily Kelly Napangardi, George Ward Tjungurrayi, Wingu Tingima, Paddy Lewis and others.
Stories of Country will commence on 31 October, a week prior to NAIDOC week, and conclude on 14 November. It will be held at our newly renovated West Perth Gallery, 11 Old Aberdeen Place, West Perth.
