Join WA artist Miik Green and interior designer Andrew Thornton Hick for a discussion behind the artist’s ideas and processes for Gradient.
In this latest body of work, Miik Green continues his experimentation with new materials and finishes, creating unique pieces that reflect and react with their surroundings. Gradient features obscure angles and worlds of possibility, making a gradual shift; from 2D to 3D form, high-gloss to matte surface – from the constraint of the frame to endless loops. Miik remains a promoter of visual culture in this state, actively pursuing opportunities for artists to exchange with the broader public. He has been invited to speak on arts practice at national and international conferences, most recently in Paris, Rome and Budapest.
Interior designer Andrew Thornton Hick is continually fascinated with the interplay of materials and how they reflect within their space. As Director of ATH Creative Agency, Andrew’s passion for the authentic combined with his experience both here and internationally has made him a leading advocate for good design and all elements of creativity.
