In 1827 English explorers witnessed a stunningly beautiful Swan River and surrounding landscape. They described it as looking like a large park.
What they were exploring was a vast estate skilfully managed by the Whadjuk Noongar people over thousands of years.
These drawings re-imagine Perth as the river and ancestral lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people before English settlement in 1829.
