“Using the open spaces of the desert as a metaphoric stage, I use natural and man-made phenomena to create the actors. “Forever captivated by what can been seen on the desert floor, my first encounters stretch back to my formative years, when I accompanied my engineer father to mining sites all over Australia. “The freedom enjoyed as a child to explore the diversity of chance encounter and a procurement of visual memory, developed with the desire to create my own narratives using the desert as a stage. “The Western Australian desert experiences represent the bulk and most informed period of the subjects undertaken since the early 1980’s.”
