Zago masterfully interprets the stories of traditional folklore creating paintings of unrivalled skill and exquisite patterned detail. One cannot help but be drawn into the dazzling world of innocent wonder, her wistful protagonists surrounded by fanciful creatures in landscapes awash with rainbows of glorious colour and comprising a mysterious, fragile beauty. With flora and fauna central to her theme, Zago creates touching narratives of friendship and trust, her imaginative and sensitive portrayals the result of many hours of patient application of paint using the finest of brushes.
