"A duet is a musical composition for two performers in which the performers have equal importance to the piece. I'm borrowing the term for the visual arts, but in this case, I am both performers. One, representational, offering the theme to the other to improvise over, or to abstract. This exhibition comprises pairs of paintings. Two very different responses to each subject.
