‘As a contemporary figurative sculptor, working mainly in bronze, I am concerned primarily with exploring the interplay between figuration and abstraction.
‘I seek to expand the boundaries of my practice, using realism that hints at the surreal. My work incorporates whimsy and humour which helps my creativity.
‘Colour adds an additional level of intrigue and complexity. Historically, bronze has a reputation for being mono tonal, however I have spent years experimenting with colour patination techniques that have now become a significant and distinctive feature of my work. One questions why bronze has traditionally had such a limited palette.’
