Mikaela Castledine

Mikaela Castledine is an artist and writer born in the Wheatbelt of Western Australia and living in the Perth Hills. She is interested more in an exploration of material than in referencing particular themes and has been pushing the limits of paper collage in her two dimensional work and of crochet in her three dimensional pieces. She has had solo and group shows in many different galleries in Perth and has been awarded many prizes including the prestigious Sculpture Scholarship at Sculpture By The Sea Cottesloe in 2013.
