Ian de Souza is an exhibiting artist and art educator with nearly 40 years experience. Born in West Malaysia he was educated in Singapore before travelling to Australia to further his studies. Best known, as a figurative painter life drawing remains pivotal to his artistic practice that is informed by light, movement and human form. Although proficient with all media watercolour and Chinese ink on rice paper are his preference. Ian de Souza’s work is held in national and international collections.
