Neil Turner

West Australian woodwork artist Neil Turner has been turning and sculpting timber for more than 34 years, his works free, expressive and organic in appearance. The former wheat and sheep farmer is influenced by the rural environment surrounding him, creating amazing wooden sculptures that reflect the impact that wind, fire and water have on the land.

He relies on the wood for direction, working with grain direction and pattern, blemishes and voids.
