“Blurring the perceptions of repulsion and danger in nature can result in a confronting visual experience.”

Jared Malton is an emerging artist based in Perth (Boorloo), Western Australia. His practice encompasses painting, sculpture and printmaking. Conceptually driven, his work is heavily influenced by mid-century American Modernism, reinterpreted through a contemporary Australian perspective. His paintings reflect a personal view of society today, exploring themes of nostalgia and the way technology shapes everyday life. His apprehension about the future is expressed through inspiration drawn from obsolete objects, using their physical presence to project his own observations and ideas. Jared has exhibited nationally and his work is held in commercial and private collections.
