“Blurring the perceptions of repulsion and danger in nature can result in a confronting visual experience.”
Jared Malton is a Fremantle based artist, whose practice spans painting, sculpture, and printmaking. His work draws influence from Mid-Century American modern art while reinterpreting those aesthetics through a distinctly Australian lens. Malton often explores themes of nostalgia, technology, and social change, using imagery inspired by obsolete devices and industrial culture to reflect anxieties about the future and the evolving relationship between people and machines. His practice frequently balances attraction and unease, creating visually striking works that blur the line between fascination and discomfort.
Jared Malton has exhibited widly across Australia.
