REVERIE: And the Peregrination of Liminal Spaces

A new exhibition by Tony Hewitt exploring a personal awakening experienced through the creative process. Initially inspired by a series of seemingly unrelated moments, Hewitt follows these fragments into new realisations and deeper understandings. Revealing the ideas, sensations and discoveries that drive his photography beyond the image and into the realm of art.

… and introducing Forough Yavari

Collaborating with Tony Hewitt, Iranian-Australian artist Forough Yavari follows the maverick's footprints by gathering the land, the footprints and the stories into her own floating, folded, sculptural layers. The traces drift across one another, as though the landscape is being read while travelling through it.

Marked with handwritten notes reflecting her own migration from city to city during childhood and later her move to Australia, Forough has often felt that her work exists between spaces. Searching for connection without feeling fully at home in one place, this award-winning photographer moves across forms and ideas, never contained by a single artistic language.
