Shadows

“As I sit outside on a warm, late spring afternoon, I'm taken back to the initial inspiration for this body of work. The light breeze through the trees choreographs a gentle dance of shadows across the paving stones and somehow, this ephemeral, ever-changing shadow-play evokes a feeling of deja vu.

Shadows can be about the light that casts them. I see them as a reminder of the gentle footprint of the passing of time. My hope is that, in my paintings, the viewer will find a stillness that is also paradoxically vibrant with life.”
