Earth Gestures features the work of ceramicist Dr Pippin Drysdale and painter /printmaker Dr Yvonne Rees-Pagh.

Earth Gestures brings together the raw, tactile permanence of ceramics with the vibrant, expressive fluidity of painting. This exhibition explores the dialogue between two-dimensional space and three-dimensional form, revealing how both mediums capture memory, emotion, and visions of landscape.

The ceramic works—ranging from sculptural forms to delicately glazed vessels serve as anchors of weight and presence. They celebrate the origins of the medium, demonstrating how soft clay is transformed by heat and glaze into enduring objects. In contrast, the paintings use color, texture, and sweeping brushwork to translate internal landscapes and the subconscious onto canvas.
