Australian photographic artist Tony Hewitt has exhibited either solo or jointly in over 40 exhibitions and is proud to be represented by Linton and Kay Galleries where he continues to collaborate in the development of the Tony Hewitt Fine Art brand.
With a passion for sharing uncommon perspectives, and an instinctive sense of the moment, Tony embodies a unique combination of award winning fine-art imagery and simple creativity. He is regularly invited, as an exhibiting artist or keynote speaker, to share his photographic vision and the philosophy behind it.
‘Revealing that which can’t be seen, is a common theme in Tony’s work as he seeks to celebrate the inherent design in nature and the ethereal nature of a curious light.
“In a way, each image is a voice for my eyes, a translation if you will, . . . if my eyes had a voice, perhaps, this is what they would say. In the absence of such things, the image is their chance to be heard!”
Tony has exhibited both within Australia and Overseas since 1995 regularly sharing successful expressions of his vision through regular solo exhibitions including ‘Lux et Aqua’, ‘Evapor8’, ‘Transience’, and ‘Continuum’ at Lynton & Kay Galleries in Australia. 2022 also saw the release of his latest retrospective collection, … ‘Occuli’. Tony is currently working on several new projects for 2023 and beyond.
Tony is a Grand Master of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP), a Fellow and Honorary Fellow of the AIPP & a Fellow of the NZIPP. His career highlights feature over 400 State, National and International awards. He lives in Perth with his family, travels often, loves the beach and can still ride a skateboard, … oh, and also loves a good Malbec wine!
