Peter Syndicas
“2026 marks 29 years since I began observing plant life and studying organic figurative forms. Over the years I have explored many new mediums and techniques, but the one thing that has never changed is my total fascination and adoration of these simple forms.”
Peter Syndicas is a Western Australian sculptor whose practice explores the relationship between form, material and movement. Working primarily in metal, he creates elegant abstract sculptures that balance strength with fluidity, drawing inspiration from the natural environment and the rhythms of the landscape. Through carefully considered lines, curves and spatial relationships, Syndicas transforms industrial materials into dynamic works that invite contemplation from multiple viewpoints. His sculptures are held in private and public collections and are recognised for their refined craftsmanship, enduring presence and ability to engage with both architectural and natural settings.
Peter’s work is represented by galleries across Australia and held in private collections worldwide, including in Dubai, Singapore, and the United States. His art was recently featured in a commissioned series of large-scale sculptures for the Marina Bay Sands refurbishment in Singapore, further cementing his reputation on the international stage.
