Matthew Wright is a self-taught fine artist from Perth, Western Australia, working mainly with acrylic paint and graphite. His works focus largely on figurative representation, and lean heavily on mark-making; incorporating thick impasto paint, bold graphite lines, and sgraffito. His latest works explore full figures, reassembled from multiple source images (both female and male); constructed and then de-constructed.
