Linda Dry Parker

“Colour is fundamental to our world and is my inspiration. It is through colour, that I interpret how my chosen subject influences my creative process, and through colour, I am able to initiate my own responses.”

Linda Dry-Parker is a Sydney-based visual artist known for her expressive, colour-driven paintings that bridge abstraction and figuration. Born in Essex, England, she trained with a BA (Hons) from Newcastle University and a Master’s degree from Brighton University before establishing her career in Australia.

Her practice centres on the emotional and structural power of colour, which she uses in layered compositions to create depth and movement. While she identifies primarily as an abstract colourist, the human figure remains a recurring element in her work, grounding her compositions in lived experience and connection.

Dry-Parker has exhibited both nationally and internationally, with shows in Sydney and London, and her work has been included in collections and commissions across Australia and overseas. Her paintings are recognised for their vibrant palettes, textural richness, and balance between abstraction and representation.
