“Experimentation in my studio has led me to focus on the possibilities of using textiles, found text and papers to ‘build the print surface’ before applying a final relief print. My choice in medium is strongly inspired by my belief in the unique, tactile and communicative quality of woven cloth. My travels to Europe, the Middle East and Northern Africa have informed my choice of materials with an emphasis on the use of gold and silver leaf, mosaic designs and luscious silks and papers collected from Morocco, Asia and Turkey.”
