Kiara Rechichi-Baker
‘My practice is driven by a curiosity for exploring different mediums, their communicative nature and how they can be interwoven to deepen visual language’
Kiara’s art practice is distinctly multidisciplinary, spanning printmaking, textiles, mosaic, painting, drawing and photography. Her work highlights recurring themes of inner emotional landscapes, environmental observation, and the interplay between human experience and nature. Her artistic direction was profoundly shaped during residencies at the Venice Printmaking Studio on the island of Murano, where she trained under master printmaker Gianfranco Gorini. Immersed in the daily rhythms of the Venice lagoon, Kiara’s focus shifted to observing and capturing the lagoon’s evolving surfaces, tidal patterns, and ecological intricacies. The Laguna Veneta became a captivating muse and an enduring influence she continues to explore through ongoing fieldwork in Italy
