An exciting breath of fresh air for the contemporary art scene, emerging Perth artist Alexandra Lekias’s remarkable and highly labour intensive images are the result of hundreds of hours of fine penmanship laden with symbolic detail which are reflective of her dedication to the notion of nostalgia, memory, experience and the passage of time.

Featuring in publications such as Harpers Bazaar and Belle; Alex has guest illustrated for Yen magazine and designed two album covers for Sugar Army’s records. Her first solo exhibition in Sydney in 2010, ‘Lifelong Babyteeth’ was a sellout success.
